Unfriendly; unwilling to board my dogs since I am not a client. Told them I am new to the area and need a vet but until I start coming to see them and I become a "good" client they can not make room for my dogs. Horrible People
I have done businesss with Dr. Johnson and his staff for forty years. Last year a new kitten was poisoned when he got into some sevins dust. He was having seizures and could barely breathe. I thought dead was the only outcome. Dr. Johnson had me to go home and try to figure out what he had gotten into. He stayed at the office until I called him back. He called UT Vet hospital to get guidance. He did everything he could do short of taking my cat home with him. What was the outcome, Sebastian is a 16 pound blue long haired mem... read more

Our beagle puppy would most definately not be alive today if it were not for the expert care and compassion by Dr Johnson and his staff. Dr Johnson has cared for our animals for the past 15 years. I hold the upmost respect for him and all the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Kingsport Vet Hospital to anyone.
I find that Dr. Johnson and his staff are very professional, both kind and caring to the animals. We do American Eskimo Rescue and Dr. Johnson sees both the fosters and our personal eskies. Out of 3 years + I do not have one complaint. They have treated everything from heart worms to ear infections to vacinations. I would highly recommend their services. When I first got Hardway he had heart worms and Dr. Johnson took the time to go over every step of what needed to be done and what to expect to in detail. We also had an esk... read more
This veterinary clinic is not professional. They refused to fill out necessary documentation required by the State of Tennessee and the USDA to take my cat out of the country. They could not figure out simple forms, refused to acknowledge the validity of my internationally recognized pet passport (Its good enough for US Customs Service but not for the Kingsport Veterinary Hospital) and generally stalled so they would not have to fill out simple forms. Dr. Johnson and his crew are ignorant yokels.
Dr Johnson and his staff are very loving and caring people. They have helped me over the years with not only mine, but my mothers animals as well. When my dog was in an accident and another vet service treated her improperly, Dr Johnson and his staff took care off her and let me visit whenever I wanted. They called and kept me up to date on everything during the procedures. The staff there knows everyone in my "family" by name and always spend time with them when i bring them in. I would never take my animals anywhere else. ... read more
