I have taken my dogs to Dr. Johnson for years. Although he is a little quirky he has always been nice. The problem I have are the ladies at the front. Some are nice but a couple can come across as rude. I was finely fed up with the rudeness so I just switched vet even though the other one is out of my way.

Great animal hospital. I had an outside cat that had 9 week old kittens and I wanted to get her spayed right away. I made an appt for her and asked if they had any cancellations could they let me know. Within 2 days I received a phone call actually from the doctor and had my cat in the next day. She was fixed, kept her inside for 3 days to recover, she has healed beautifully. I appreciate the care and concern I was shown. Definitely recommend this hospital.
I have taken my three dogs to Kingsport Vet Hospital for the past seven years. Whenever I need anything at all Dr. Johnson and Dr. Roark have been there and have done an amazing job taking care of my animals. I can tell they really care about me and my animals as they have gone out of their way MANY times by ordering special medications and even getting second opinions from doctors from UT when my dog was experiencing a very abnormal sickness. Kingsport Vets faculty is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!
Dr. Johnson is a sad excuse for a veterinarian. I get the impression hes been in the business too long and needs to hang up the lab coat. My dog is diabetic - something I didnt know until she really went downhill on a Sunday. I thought she was dying. Ive never been to a vet before and Kingsport is closed on Sundays. I now know there is an emergency place but didnt know that at the time. So I looked her symptoms up on the internet and thats where I first got the idea she was diabetic. When I took her in to the "professional" ... read more

My mother brought all of her pets there and he was always willing to go to the extreme limits to help her in any way possible. He set up payment plans and made it very comfortable for her to pay. As my moms dog had her first liter of puppies he assisted her on the phone as she delivered them.Im glad to say she delivered four healthy puppies. Unfriendly; unwilling to board my dogs since I am not a client. Told them I am new to the area and need a vet but until I start coming to see them and I become a "good" client they can not make room for my dogs. Horrible People
