About this business

Selling itself as "Atlanta's Only Nightclub for Big Kids," this large dance club draws a well-dressed, forty-plus crowd most nights. Sinatra and the Big Bands are the popular sounds, but musical selections often run the gamut from 1940s swing sounds through the disco era and into the rock of the 1980s. An inexpensive, respectable menu offers breakfast at anytime, plus steaks, chops, chicken and sandwiches. An all-you-can-eat happy hour buffet is spread each weeknight. Sandy Bachman Johnny G- Hey, welcome to the club! I just got "banned" as well. The snarky waitress with thick dark hair told them to boot me! She got mad because I was sitting at the bar and when I went around the corner to order where the waitresses order, and she made herself a drink and left! I went to the other bar where sweet Butch is and got a drink. When I got back I was scolded for going over there! WHAT? Isn't it all the same bar? Why can't I buy a drink anywhere I want? She is so rude anyway, I would have gladly sa... read more

The music that they play in here is pretty amazing and very lively. I love a place like this one that has certainly the taste in music that you could dance with.

Anyone who says this place is for the "elderly" hasn't been there for the last few years! My friends and I ( all in our late 20's-early 30's) hit Johnny's almost every Saturday after the Ivy- it's so much fun! Crazy strong drinks, great music, fast service & fun people watching if you don't want to hit the dance floor! Chat up a 40 yr old hottie @ the bar or boogie down with a 60 yr old dance machine - all ages here & it's a blast! Johnny's rocks!!!

DON'T GO HERE! WE ARE NOT WELCOME! I went here this pass Saturday with two friends. This was not my first time here and one of my friends loves oldies so I knew she would love this place. The night started out really well. Guys were stopping and buying us drinks constantly, we were dancing and having an overall good time. Out of no where I am approached by the bouncer who says we were "losing the bar money". I was shocked by this because from the moment we got to the bar there was a constant flow cocktails to the point where... read more

Very cool place for the older crowd – I really enjoyed myself the times I have been here - even though I am much younger than the average goer. Great music, dance floor, knowledgeable bartenders and a good time.

Good for people watching – This place has been around for ages and it stays open pretty late. Drinks are decent but the best part is definitely the people watching!!

Buckhead's classic haunt is a dance heaven for empty-nesters – In Short Talk about not having boundaries. This is like walking into a movie scene from another decade… made about another decade. Disco balls, old-school cigarette machines and cocktails served in goblet-like glasses cement the fact this dimly-lit, gaudy room isn’t like many others in our city. Gangs of the young, Buckhead set dance alongside the cut-a-rug mid-50s crowd, making it feel like a youth-invaded cougar-fest. Bouncers keep a close watch and looklike th... read more

Great value – A place where you have to go in knowing what to expect, a dance club for people 30 to 70. It takes a little time to get used to but if you like strong cocktails and top 40 dance tunes, it's for you. Everyone is smoking but they finally renovated the bathrooms.
