a general ER doctor who did not authorize a procedure requested by my specialist. is there a financial incentive involved here?
Dr. Hess has been my cardiologist for many years and he is wonderful. I never feel rushed and haven't had long waits. He explains my test results well and explains life style changes that can make me healthier. I took his advice and am in much better health now. Thank you Dr. Hess!
Dr. Hess is amazing. He took me very seriously from the start and put me on a medication that is already making my symptoms less drastic. I highly recommend him.
I would highly recommend NOT using Dr. John Hess. He actually should be ashamed to call himself a Doctor. He actually lied straight to my face and never apologized for his wrong doing. It's a long story and very sad but all I can tell you is don't trust him.
Dr. Hess has been the cardiologist for our family for many years taking care of different maladies of the heart for several family members. He is a rare breed in that he personally takes your BP, listens to your heart, looks you in the eye and answers your questions. You never see a nurse practitioner. We feel you have to talk to any medical practitioner, ask as many questions as you can and work with the doctor to keep yourself well. We work with him. Dr. Hess cares.
In ER at Los Robles in significant pain (rated it an 8) I was in the ER dept for 5 hours all the time asking my nurse to get an order from Dr Bastian for pain. Nurses asked him but apparently he was too busy. It took 5.5 hours for my pain to be addressed. The Dr who sent me to the ER told me to have the ER Dr call him. He refused, said they don't do that. Did not order the specific lab tests that my Dr had asked me to have done. Spent about 1 minute with me. He was more interested in Dodger game
I have been going to Dr. Hess for 35+ years and have yet to have anything other than positive things to say about him or his care. My family has a history of heart problems and he has always been patient, thorough and taken care of any of my concerns before he leaves the room. Waiting times vary as there are times he is called to the hospital for emergencies and is running behind. I'm just glad I am not the one who needed his time away from the office.
Spent less than three minutes with me in the ER at Los Robles. Charge me $362. Nice touch not being in my insurance network when the Hospital is in network. Called to talk about the bill and they would not discount it one cent.
I have had one consult visit so I will know more once I get test results back and meet with the doctor again.
