We are regular diners here. Our kids (9 and 11) live it as much as we do. We just dined here for the special Valentine’s Day menu.....it was absolutely delicious!
My friend Lynda & I went to the fabulous Brunch on Sunday never expecting the amount of food set up for breakfast & lunch! Everything was delicious and the crowd enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the view. We will go back!
Delicious food... Wonderful atmosphere... And a terrific waitstaff!!! Right now, there is a view of the ice jam, which in itself is amazing. It was our first time eating there and we will definitely be back!!!!!
John Wright is a little out of the way for us--a three-hour drive. But I was glad for a chance to return for a lunch gathering. Much of their food is locally sourced, including beef from grass-fed cows, and that's a big plus. It is well prepared and presented in generous but not overwhelming portions. We were there for a holiday lunch, so the staff was hustling, but they did so with grace and good cheer and even paused other duties to take our group photo. My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at JWR last week. It is always a fantastic treat. I had swordfish and my wife ate lamb shank. The swordfish was prepared to perfection with a currant sauce on top of fresh mashed potatoes! The lamb shank, which my wife shared with me, was juicy, extremely tender falling off the bone served with carrots mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Went for the first time last night. Food was very good. However we had a private party, and they over booked the room. The food was good, overpriced I thought. View was pretty cool.
