Dr. Tanner is THE BEST! He's professional, and he repaired my right ankle--which was in rough shape! I would recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic surgery.

I fell off of a ladder, landed straight down on my heel in my garage and did some damage to my foot. My first visit with Dr. Tanner was very reassuring in that he spoke in terms I understood, was to the point yet very kind, made a recommendation with a plan for a course of action. I went to Dr. Tanner with severe arch pain I experienced the 1st time I tried to walk when weaning from crutches after 6 weeks NWB following knee surgery. He was condescending AND misdiagnosed the problem. He gave me a dx, & then told me most people don't have any or much pain with this. Then he said he wouldn't give me pain pills. I never asked for pain pills. Rather than wonder why I was in so much pain, he seemed to conclude I was just a baby. I went to another dr and got the correct dx & hlp
I had both feet operated on by Dr. Tanner. He is an Excellent doctor and surgeon!!! He takes the time in the office and at the hospital. He has great bedside manners and is thorough in all that he does!!! I would recommend Dr. Tanner to any of my family and friends!
In 2017, I had surgery to correct "hammertoes" on both feet (2 operations). I was very pleased by the results. I had put off the surgery because I heard others talk about how awful the recovery was. Well, they were wrong. Dr. Tanner has excellent orthopedic surgery skills. The recovery was lengthy, but so is the healing process for any bone surgery. If you need a great orthopedic surgeon, please consider John Tanner. He was knowledgeable, courteous, compassionate, and an overall nice guy.
Dr. Tanner showed me he is an expert in his field. He reconstructed my foot, and I can't imagine that is an easy task. He is responsible for me having a normal life. He is very knowledgeable, and also very compassionate. He cared about me getting back to normal life as soon as possible, but also making sure I was healing correctly in the process. I strongly recommend for any foot or ankle procedures.
Went to see Dr Tanner a few weeks ago for a rare foot issue. He provided a course of treatment and explained everything with great detail. He took time to answer all of my questions concerns. Would recommend him to others.
