Make sure to get your insurance pre-certification, treatment plan and complete costs in writing! It took 11 months to complete 2 implants and one lower denture due to miscommunications with our insurance company and this office! It has been 5 months since treatment was completed and this office has yet to issue a refund based on our insurance EOB. They submitted new charges after the implants and dentures were completed. The explanation was that they could go back and “adjust” the costs associated with treatment, even after treatment was completed. The patient is a disabled vet and I am a retired professional and we should have known better, but we trusted the information we were given. TRUST BUT VERIFY! ALWAYS GET IT IN WRITING!!

We know you are upset things did not work out like you expected with the insurance coverage. You were provided paperwork with total cost of treatment before anything was started as that is our office policy. Even your insurance company reviewed everything and determined no fraud was committed and no refund was due to you. Insurance is not meant to be a “PAY-ALL” but a discount to help you with treatment. We took every opportunity to be fully transparent during the treatment and asked at the end of every conversation if you had any other questions. Some treatment can take several months to complete. If you have any other concerns please call the office.

Dr. Shoemaker and his staff are welcoming, pleasant, and personable. I was given an immediate appointment and assessment. I have actually enjoyed the interaction with doctor and staff the times I have been in the office for procedures. Dr. Shoemaker is the consummate professional. He was sedulous in explanation and highly competent procedurally. I recommend Dr. Shoemaker for all of your dental needs. This is a five star dental practice.

As a woman with MS myself. I commend Dr Shoemaker and his staff for doing the research on being able or not able to do implants because of the interaction with the medication for MS on someone before the fact. I would rather be told no, then to go through the surgery and expense and then to have it fail. This is something I did not know myself, thankful for the info.

As a parent, with a child who has high anxiety, when it comes to dentists, I couldn't have asked for or found a better place for her dental treatments. From the front office staff, to hygienists, to Dr. Shoemaker himself, always, always friendly & made her feel comfortable, spoke to her with respect, and laid out the necessary treatments, costs involved & time frames for work! Highly recommend their office!!
