I cut my hand by a lawnmower accident. Dr McCabe did emergency surgery and repaired my hand. He did excellent job!
Uncompassionate and has almost a crule bedside manner. Did not order PT. Tell me I just needed to wash dishes”. Physical hurt me. I have much pain. He said, “I am the least compassionate person in town regards to pain”; This is after he asked me how my pain was. I was in a motor vehicle accident head-on with an 18 wheeler with my family on I 49. Going through a lot of trauma. Very uncompassionate and not helpful. This man should not be practicing Plastic or hand surgery. I have to seek a MD
Dr. McCabe did surgery on my husband's hand with excellent results. He has Excellent bedside manners. He told me if there where any problems with my husband's hand (since out patient surgery was on Friday) to personally call him. I also seen him for myself about an issue (hand) after an IV was put in ,apparently wrong,. Other Dr. diagnosed Gout.. Dr. McCabe looked at my hand, I told him what happened and said it was nerve damage it would repair itself. He was correct.
The procedure he performed was horrendous. Every doctor I have seen to fix McCabe's mistakes are puzzled at why he performed the surgery in the way he did. Good surgeon, but not for cosmetic purposes what so ever. My friend also has similar complaints. I would not recommend McCabe to anyone.
Dr. John McCabe is absolutely wonderful! I burned my hand 2nd degree while cooking and I was panicking-The nurses and doctors in the ER said I might need a skin graft or else my index finger wouldn't be able to regain full motion again. Dr. McCabe took a good look at my hand and said I won't need anything but soap and water. I was scared and the whole team in his office was there by my side to answer any of my questions, anytime! My wound is now sealed and my finger has regained complete motion!
He saved the use of my thumb, that had been miss diagnosed at the ER...he tells you how it is and I like that.
He cut to the chase and told me how it was. I took his advice, he took my foot with no complications, and now I have a better life.
