Dr. Luckasen was extremely prompt and professional while I was in his care. He explained what treatment options were available and instilled a great amount of confidence in me as a patient. He gives you information that you need to hear. I would reccomened his care any day.

Like others have said, bedside manner is not his strong suit. I had a wart that I was wanting removed, and he came in to look at it and within 10 seconds told me that we should go ahead and cut it off. I asked about other ways to treat it, and he was willing to give me alternatives. In the end, we decided to just remove it that day. Within 5 minutes, I was in a surgery room and he was lasering my foot. I think he's a competent doctor, he just comes off as a bit of a jerk.

I saw him for a cyst or boil on my cheek that I cut while shaving. He came into the room, barely looked at me, and said, "uh oh, that looks like a skin cancer forming," as he left the room and asked his nurse to take a biopsy. I had to stop him and say that it is a scab on a cut. He came back and examined it, and said they could fix it. Draining a lump the size of a penny has left me with a three inch incision that took six stitches to close. Everyone else I encountered in the office was lovely

We do want to emphasize that skin cancer is on the rise and Dr. Luckasen is a board certified dermatologist who is experienced in recognizing suspicious lesions. Also, our nurses do not perform biopsies. We do strive to provide good patient care and would like to discuss this problem with you further.
Always a very good experience Dr Luckasen. I appreciate his style and results. Highly recommend.

If you expect to be treated in a courteous, professional and respectful manner Dr. Luckasen is NOT a physician I would recommend. I arrived on time for my appointment but waited in the lobby for 45 minutes before being called back. There was no review of any of my paperwork or actual issue and any questions or corrections I directed his way were met with a severely condescending tone and substantial rhetoric on female hormones. A wholly infuriating experience and a waste of time and money.
I know many don't care for Dr. Luckasen but I personally have not had any issues. I prefer Oakview over the Farnam location. He is an older Dr. and it's not a new high tech office, but provides me with what I need. I don't think Dr is the most personable but he has never been rude to me. I think you get what you give with him. I don't expect him to take an hour with me or be talkative. You can tell it's just not in his nature. I will continue to go to the office.
Omg stay away from dr. Luckasen. He evaluated my body for potential skin cancer under two minutes. No way would I trust him. And his staff Nurse seemed angry or scared. Do not trust him go to someone else. Now I know why he is easy to get appts with.
My first visit with Dr. Luckasen was today. I found him efficient and caring. Personable. I do not agree at all with the negative reviews on him. I wonder what happened during those visits. I am pleased with my care and would recommend Dr. Luckasen to friend/ family.
Came into the exam room I and my daughter were waiting in, without saying hello, introducing himself or any other comment picked up the report the nurse had made on myself, made a quick exam of my scalp, said I would have to live with the problem, no explanation, told the nurse to give me a shot, order some medication to relieve the problem and that was it. No hello, good-bye or any other comment. A rather snooty individual who appeared he was too busy to waste his time with me. Doctor's Oath?
