In my opinion he wanted to send business to an oral surgeon he recently shadowed, so told me from an x-ray I had bony resorption in a tooth and it should be extracted. I had no symptoms, and he never even asked if I had recent trauma there. I trusted him, but the oral surgeon denied I had bony resorption but extracted it anyway. I lost part of my jawbone, the adjacent tooth was exposed, and I had a dry socket. Years later I now have to have the adjacent tooth extracted, with an implant six months later. Total betrayal.
