Dr.Mikell was top draw in every respect,never in a hurry.Goes into detail on everything you ask him. His staff are so professional,helpful and willing to aid you in every way. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. John Mikell, the Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion, and its staff. I just finished a 39-session of radiation treatments for prostate cancer that moved into my bladder. I learned to have full confidence in Dr. Mikell and his treatment plan for me. Dr. Mikell was readily available and met with me weekly throughout the process, and I was impressed how he knew so much about my specific situation, past surgery and on-going treatment.
Very caring Doctor. He took the time to explain all my treatments in detail, and was very patient in answering all my questions. He made sure that I understood everything about my treatment before I left his office. His staff are wonderful caring people too.
The office is run very well. The staff are professional, kind and work as a Team. Excellent care from Radiation Therapists. I highly recommend the Hilton Head Office. I received excellent care!
My experience with Dr Mikell was all positive. He was an attentive listener, answered my many questions to my satisfaction and what I found most gentlemanly, asked my permission to examine my radiation site.
Dr. Mikell and his entire staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout my entire treatment for breast cancer!
I was fortunate to have Dr. Mikell as my treating physician when I had Prostate Cancer. He kept me informed as to treatment options and I spent 44 days at the center in Hilton Head for my therapy. Dr. Mikell and his staff treated me with respect and made everything great. I would highly recommend Dr. Mikell for his professionalism, knowledge and decisions.
Dr. Mikell's calm, patient and caring manner changed my anxiety to acceptance and determination. He is not only exceptionally competent, but also listens carefully, providing clear and helpful feedback. While he is certainly direct and compassionate in approach, his appropriate humor also put me at ease. I could not have been in better hands.
