Dr. Mikell and the radiation therapy team in Hilton Head put the 'care' in medical care. From start to finish, Dr. Mikell, the nurse, Judy, the two therapists, Lana and Glenna, and the dietician, Anna, each did everything possible to keep me fully informed of what to expect, and how to deal with the side effects. Amazing care from Dr. Mikell and his team of technicians, nurses and receptionists. They made me feel cared for even when I wasn't feeling so good.
Dr Mikell and the entire team at Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion in Bluffton SC did an outstanding job during my Radiation Therapy. The team was always friendly, courteous and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Mikell and the team.
Dr. Mikell was my radiation oncologist for a recent breast cancer diagnosis. I first met him at the practice in Savannah, GA but received treatment at the Bluffton, SC location. I found Dr. Mikell to be very caring and was very patient in explaining the procedures, protocols and any side effects that I might experience. My husband and I were both extremely pleased when we first met him before treatment began, and our regard for him only got higher during the treatments.
Heaven is definitely missing a whole bunch of angels because they are all hanging out with Dr. John Mikell at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavillon of St Joseph's/Candler in Bluffton. I do not think that a person facing the big "C" could be treated any kinder or professionally. Dr Mikell and his entire team were fantastic. the greeters at the main entrance always met me with a smile and positive comments. The radiation were top-notch. Very patient with me and respectful at all times. The nurses were fantastic - always upbeat and provided great care.
Dr. Mikell is an extraordinary physician! He treated me with the utmost respect, courtesy and empathy. Facing a fearful situation, Dr. Mikell made me more comfortable and confident than I could have imagined! I highly recommend Dr. Mikell and his team to anyone needing radiation oncology.
Dr Mikell is professional but also very friendly and encouraging. He explained my treatment clearly and saw me each week during my radiation series.
