I saw Dr. Leppard for a broken wrist. He's a very good diagnostician; however, he is perpetually late. I've waited over 2 hours for him before rescheduling. I've tried making the first appointment of the day with him, only to find that he hadn't left his home yet when I arrived for my appointment. His lack of respect for patient's time is appalling. Also, depending upon his mood, he can be a bit rough when handling. My time is worth a lot to me, and his antics caused me to find another dr at a different practice.
I have had enough visits with Dr. Leppard to almost consider him family, and have had more hand surgeries than I can recall ... all superbly successful. His mastery of the mechanics of hand repair is impressive. I hope this man never retires.

Partial triceps tear from the left elbow. After MRI, Dr. Leppard's suggested out-patient surgery for the repair. Surgery was perfect. Little to no pain. I didn't even take the pain meds. Close to a 100% recovery a little over 2 months. Dr. Leppard is well experienced surgeon. Very kind, caring and a great sense of humor. Nice, professional staff as well. Would recommend to anyone.
When I first met Dr. Leppard, I had severe pain in my right wrist. He was compassionate and knowledgeable and put me at ease. He suggested surgery and in June he performed LRTI surgery. The surgery was a success and I am no longer in pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Leppard.
Dr. Leppard operated on my ankle. He was reassuring about fixing the break. His post operative care was excellent. He was concerned about how the wounds were healing and how the foot was doing in general. He spent time answering my questions and showed his knowledge about the surgery, the foot and its healing. He is personable and caring.
My sister broke her wrist in a compound fracture. Dr. Leppard did successful surgery to set it and used the latest methods which led to a quick and complete recovery. He is an excellent surgeon and a terrific person. He was so encouraging and positive, he restored her confidence as well as her hand. It was always a lift to see him. We think Dr. Leppard is amazing.
As many have already said about Dr Leppard his care and time spent with you is excellent . He is easy to talk to and he listens . Besides Dr Leppard I have had wonderful experience with the staff , they are friendly and helpful . Bob Commike Plainview, NY
