I purchased my first Mercedes in 1978, a 230. I was introduced to John Holger in 1980’ s by the Porter of Woods Motor (Mercedes dealership)which was located in Detroit. I have been bringing my cars(s) there since then. My mother and two sisters brought their cars there too. I have refered many people and friends over the years. The repair service I received has always been impeccable. The customer service initially was not always warm and personable. However, that has improved. .
I recently purchased a used Mini Cooper and was concerned about where to get it serviced on the East Side. I remembered John and Holger from the 1980s when I used to take my Mercedes and BMWs there for service, so I took a flyer and drove by. The owner/manager (Chris) should teach a doctorate level customer service course at Wayne State. He was so pleasant to deal with and went out of his way to accommodate me and his crew did a thorough job of checking out the MINI.
