We live 120 miles round trip from the doctor's office. They want us to make a trip the week before our appointments to have lab work done. This is 2 120 mile trips in 2 weeks. if the results are satisfactory then a phone call would be fine. If they are not then you can return to talk with the doctor if you have labs and see him at the same time. They did offer to send the orders to a lab close to us, but this will could result in another copay. This is a policy and they will not change.
