I have lost a significant amount of the vision in my left eye because of Dr. Kirk's negligence. The loss may be permanent. Here is what happened: A year ago, at my annual eye exam, I told Dr. Kirk that I was experiencing blurry vision in my left eye. It was like looking through a cloud, with some clearer spots. This doctor is to be avoided. He may not be competent. To make things worse, he might not believe what you say about your symptoms. He said "I doubt that" when I told him about symptoms I had after cataract surgery. I immediately went to another doctor and am very lucky that I didn't have complications. Look at the remarks on Next Door if you need confirmation. You won't be able to get restitution if he messes up your vision because doctors support each other, not patients. Today I had the best eye appointment that I have had since I started experiencing severe eye problems as a result of diabetes 7 years ago. Dr. Kirk and his staff have found the perfect line between professionalism and a friendly welcoming low stress environment. I have had the misfortune of being a patient at other clinics in both Latimer and Boulder counties and consider myself lucky to be out of the medical assembly lines that those others are and into a responsible well applied regime of eye care.
