Appointment with Dr. Hand was 5 star all the way from receptionist to the dr. himself. Knew exactly what my problem was with one look "Dupuytren's and gave me alternatives. Would recommend him highly; I also see Dr. Schofield there for my rotator cuff and same advice...search no more.. they are the best !

Dr. Hand had successfully performed carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand but a large cyst brought me back. An X-ray revealed arthritis had destroyed the cartilage in the wrist and the pain was bone on bone scraping against the other. Currently, I have opted for cortisone injections while contemplating having a plate placed into the wrist. Dr. Hand is onboard and will continue the injections allowing me time to make a decision. I’ve had two hand surgeries by Dr Hand. Both surgeries were successful. I developed complete confidence in Dr Hand after the first visit in his office. He is extremely skilled, listens and provides options for treatment. He is also very personable. The teams of medical staff at the surgery facilities treated me with professionalism and care. I highly recommend Dr. John Hand.
Love Dr Hand and his staff... can't say enough great things about this office. I have been "handled" with great knowledge, respect, caring and skill over the years. I'm unfortunate to have needed several surgieries on my hands.... but forturnate enough to live in Sarasota where Dr Hand practices. He is a masterful surgeon, kind person, and punctual!. If you have any issues with hands or wrists, please see him! I have had 5 surgeries - no more pain from the problems and barely a scar!
Dr. Hand is not only highly skilled with a compassionate bedside manner, he is one of most empathetic people that I have ever met! I will always be grateful Dr. Hand for performing surgery on my wrist (radius). Everyone who cared for me at his office and Advanced surgery center were friendly and professional.
I had trigger thumb and injections weren’t working. My next option was surgery so I wanted the best. I had heard many great compliments about this surgeon. I am now post surgical and my thumb is back to normal function. I would not hesistate to recommend this physician!
I had two hand surgeries by Dr. Hand. (on separate hands). Both went very smoothly and were very successful. He was very thorough, pleasant and friendly to work with. My husband, a hand surgeon himself, had one hand operated on by him, as well. We both really thought the world of this surgeon. We have since moved from Florida, but would highly recommend him!
