After my initial office visit with Dr. Carey, I was NEVER able to schedule another appointment with him. I’ve tried twice now to make an appointment with him and have been told DR CAREY doesn’t see patients for any follow ups! Every visit after your initial one is a follow up. BOTH times I ended up in the Hospital Emergency Room. It doesn’t say anything good about him or his practice.
I've had injections before by a few different doctors. I had decided not to get them anymore due to ineffectiveness and adverse reactions. Dr. Carey convinced me to try again with him and I am forever grateful that he did. I is extremely good at injections and has a great bedside manner. He and his staff are amazing!!
Read This Before Going To Jax SpineThis is worse care facility I have ever been to.I first came here in November 2023 to Meet with Dr John Carey due to severe back pains. He told me he was going to have me go for an MRI which I did. I was then given a follow up appointment up to meet with Dr Carey to go over the MRI. I have been seeing Dr Vincenty off and on for over 15 years. He is a great doctor and back when he was a much smaller practice, his service ( and time spent with patients) and care was exceptional. They are just too big to give the level of care their patients need. I have been waiting many months and have spent over $1000 waiting and and waiting through endless appointments, authorizations and just wasted time, for my procedure which was always the end result. I had a surgery with Dr. Vincenty who has a very nice demeanor. But surgery results were catastrophic. A baclofen pump tube was inserted into my lumbar area that resulted in a second spinal cord injury; first happened from a diving accident when I was young. I will never have the previous level of functionality in my lower body after the surgery which resulted in loss of movement and etc. I would think twice before allowing him & his team using a scalpel on you.
I’m a 22yr Retired Navy Veteran. I was injured while serving in 1997. I’ve seen numerous Navy, Army and Air Force doctors about my condition, resulting in, dead end repetitive painful treatments. In 2010 Naval Hospital Jacksonville referred me to Dr Vincenty. Dr V was the first doctor to be completely honest with me about my condition. He and his staff member Shantel are AMAZING. Dr. Vincenty, is one of the most knowledgeable, skilled, and caring physician's I have been treated by. He is thorough in his diagnosis and conservative in his treatment approach. He has been my physician for more than 4 years. He has not only my highest recommendation to work with you to prepare and implement a treatment plan but he is highly respected and referred by many physicians and surgeons in Jacksonville.
Spinal fusion of the L5-S1 and disc replacement of L4-L5 surgery left me worse off than before. Now, I have scar tissue buildup along my spinal cord. Dr Vincenty and his knowledgeable staff show they care by listening to concerns, carefully addressing problems, and offering a variety of solutions. Thank you Dr Vincenty and all of the staff at Jacksonville Spine Center for continuing to improve my quality of life.
