I had an appointment to see Dr. John C. Keel, MD. on 12/18/25 at 7:00am. I was told to be at Emory at 6:45am for this appointment. I live one hour away from Emory. I had to leave my home by 5:30am to get to my appointment on time. I arrived at Emory by 6:30am. My future mother in law was negatively impacted by the bedside manner of Dr. Keel last week while navigating a neck injury after a car accident. Dr.Keel was rude, argumentative and generally pushed back on everything my MIL and sister discussed and seemed more interested in arguing than the general care of a patient. We will be moving to another practice and away from Dr. Keel. Good riddance!

I met Dr Keel APR 2025 and we discussed my medical condition and the next steps in the evolution to recovery. During that visit we went over my medical history and what I had done leading to my visit. He agreed that my next steps were to apply for a Spine Stimulator and get a PA from my insurance company for the procedure. I asked what, if anything he needed from me for the submission and he said just my evaluation. I did track that down and submitted it to his office. I had a problem with sciaticafor at least 2 years. It was very painful especially when walking. I had visits with 3 orthopedic doctors and at least 6 injections and other procedures before I obtained a referral to Dr. Keel. I Received an injection From Dr. Keel for My Sciatica and the sciatica went away and was gone for about a year. Had a very poor experience with this Dr. Told me I had bad insurance and not to expect a shot. What shot? New patient looking for help with life changing back pain.
