Excellent food and service! I gave this restaurant FIVE STARS because this really is a gem in the area! The dining room itself is very nice and romantic, albeit the fact that it's quite small. If you're sitting by the area closer to the bar, it could get loud. Regardless, very comfortable and delightful atmosphere. The food was SUPERB! John Bentley's is Exquisite!!! You're talking exquisite, wonderful ambiance along with wonderful tasting food. The prices are above average but it's worth it for the food that you receive. I've only gone during lunch time, but it felt like a dinner experience. Servers are very, very nice. Just a class act, I would say!
Great upscale restaurant - elegant, cozy with great service A business colleague set up a lunch for us at John Bentley's in Redwood City (they also have a location in Woodside) and it was such a great place. The service was friendly and attentive. They have a nice selection of lunch options, from salads to sandwiches to more substantial options. The mushroom soup and goat cheese salad that I had were both delicious. Highly recommend! I'd love to go back and try their dinner options.
John Bentleys restaurant Food was excellent, somewhat pricey, but not very innovative. Service was excellent. This restaurant is a safe bet for entertaining visiting relatives, business associates, or others who welcome the more expectable in pleasant surroundings.
John Bentley's is great! This restaurant delivers excellent service and delicious food -- a great "date night" restaurant for couples! We loved the wine list and the entrees were satisfying; we would recommend this place to anyone.
