Dr. Baber is the best PMD that I’ve ever been a patient of. I wholeheartedly believe this doctor saved my life from a dangerously high setting of my pain pump. He has never pushed anything on me such as medications or injections. I can’t help but to think the people that left one star reviews were the problem and not Dr. Baber! I don’t get why all this change took place to begin with. They should have given him a cape instead of moving him to a dirty building with an even dirtier dark parking garage that felt unsafe to me. I like how they got rid of all the negative reviews from a myriad of patients like myself who have had an AWFUL experience with him. His staff is terribly rude. He sees you for 5 mins talks to you like you’re stupid and pushes antidepressants on everyone for pain management. I’ve had a much better experience at UPMC’s pain clinic. At least they actually go through your medical history and properly treats you for chronic pain.
Dr. Barber (John) is the first medical profession to completely validate ever single struggle of my grueling journey. He understood, and treated me like a human being. I feel better today emotionally than I've felt in a long time. I can't recommend him enough. Bravo, John. Thanks
I saw Dr. Baber on February 24th. He listened to all my concerns, spent a good amount of time with me during my visit and also spent a good amount of time figuring out which pain medication to prescribe me. He also put in a referral for me to do alternative treatments. The nurse I had was also friendly and answered all my questions.
