Dr Urena Hernandez is a wonderfully happy experienced gastroenterologist. It is always a treat to have an appointment with him.
This review is an update from 5 years ago and I just wanted to give a more updated and current review. Dr. Urena has been my Primary Care Doctor for a few years now and I just have to say how much I appreciate his honesty and compassion. He is also very thorough and a good listener. He goes above and beyond to take care of my medical needs and I just couldn't ask for a better Doctor, he has been truly a blessing to me!
The best thing Sentara has ever done is to hire Dr. Urena Hernandez. My family has total faith in him. He is kind, caring, and truly cares about his patients. He never rushes us and never dismisses our concerns. He is always prepared for us when he walks in the room. He is one of a kind in this day and age.
Dr Urena-Hernandez is the best Internist/Family Practice Physician I have encountered in all my 87 years. He listens, speaks in ways easy to understand difficult medical term and he clearly cares about his patients. The best of the best.
