I do not think there is any hope for this dying business or its owner. In my opinion the food is terrible, the service is fair at best, and the interior of the restaurant is dingy, outdated and dirty. And as for Joe the owner, if he spent a little more time taking care of his business and his customers, ensuring the food was prepared properly, and the restaurant was cleaned, as opposed to hanging out at the bar drinking his worries away, he might have a chance of saving this dying eatery. I live almost as far away from Joes as you can get here in Albuquerque and I still regularly go out of my way to get their food. I have been enjoying Joe’s since my family moved to town years ago and have never had a bad experience. They have wonderful food and a relaxing atmosphere that truly feels like a nice night out to dinner and the staff is always wonderful. My family And I love Joe’s. Always a great meal at a fair price. Honestly I never really cared for going out for Italian food because as I used to say “I can boil a pot of pasta at home”. I’ve been going to Joe’s for 13 years. I have my absolute favorites and the bruschetta is to die for. Everything is always fresh and delicious including the salads (best crisp lettuce), the pasta, the cheese and the wine selection is perfect. Have you tried their blue cheese dressing?
