A long time fan of Southwoods of Cudahy, this was our 2nd trip to Joe K's. It was a trip down memory lane with the baked French Onion, Haystack Onion Rings and the deep fried Garlic Toast. The Rib Eye Steak was fabulous. It was my hubbys birthday and they provided the little cake. We'll be back.
I had heard a lot about the Prime Rib and French Onion Soup. I ordered a cup of soup which I quickly wished was a crock because now I get all the hub bub. It was delicious! I weighed my options between a couple of different Prime Rib sandwich options. I took the advice of the friendly bartender who highly recommended the one without Swiss cheese because it was a more hearty sandwich. She could not have been more right. Great, as always! Had a fantastic time til the Badgers lost the title game.
We have been coming here since we heard that Southwood's chief moved here. Always had great food and service, and tonight was no different. However there was some disappointing factors. It was mostly the portion sizes. We normally order the prime rib and have never walked out hungry. Today we were wanting more. The picture (in comments) is the "10oz" prime rib.
Have had many Friday night fish fries at the Ranch over the years. Usually eat at the bar or sometimes call in for a pickup. Tonight we went in and sat at the bar and after not even being acknowledged after 10 to 12 minutes with three bartenders working we got up and walked out. It may very well be the last time we step into the place.
Melt in your mouth prime rib. Definitely going back.
We had great service and the Thanksgicing buffet was great.
Could use a baked potato and garlic mashed with it's potato selection

I have been to Joe's K ranch many times past years and since I returned to area,hospitality,food have always been the best.Many times you do wait for a period of time but their clients are enormous,always has been if you want fast food your in the wrong place..
