Service Blows – Joe's is a great place to sit outside and try to have a beer or a meal but if you want any type of service don't even thinking of going. Meal orders rarely come out right and if you want to actually place your order, well good luck. Try again.
Very Good – Joe's was the first place I ate when I moved to Minneapolis, I was very impressed. The burgers are very good, especially the pork. The small menu offers great taste. The patio has to rank as one of the best in Minneapolis.
Overated & past it's prime – I remember when Joe's Garage was a hip neighborhood burger joint. The last time I went it was post construction of the new addition. Apparently they have gotten bigger not better. We (a party of 2 women) were greeted with a one minute finger from the headset clad host who apparently was listening to something that prevented him from speaking to us. About Average – The rooftop patio is wonderful during the summer. It would be great if they put as much work (and depth) in the food menu as in the martini menu. The food isn't bad, but I never seem to find something that I really want to have when I'm there and always end up settling on something that is fine, but not memorable. Service is a tad below average. My advice ... if you have to wait to get a table, move on as it's not worth the wait.
No Free Parking in this garage. . . – Joe's is a nice little neighborhood spot to have a decent meal. Nothing fancy, but more than just comfort food. The menu has some unique items (lamb meatballs, lamb or pork hamburgers) but nothing really so far out that the names are not recognized. The food quality and taste are above average, about on par with the prices. Nothing terribly outlandish. Outstanding – Found Joe's by chance on vacation from Alaska, what a very pleasant surprize. Would hihgly recommened Joe's! It's all you could hope for and more, great food, great staff. Do yourself a favor, dont miss this one
Great burgers, nice place, 'nuff said! – Really, it's true! The food (burgers especially) is great, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was tops! (They even have an fashioned car parked inside, for that garage style feeling) Bring the kids, it's fun!
Nothing Special – Simply put, it is overrated. Limited menu. Tried the "award winning" pork burger, was average, if anything it was disapointing for the price. Pasta entree was uninteresting and the portion small. Staff was alright, fairly slow and maybe a few thinking they are a touch to cool for the room. Atmosphere is nice, the roof top deck is great. dam good food – I have only ate at Joes two times, the first time was about 4 years ago. I am not from the area but we stumbled across this place and it was fantastic. Not only was the food good but the view was awsome. I finally got to go back this past year it was raining so we didn't sit outside but the food was even better than the last time. I would say this is my favorite place to eat.
