My wife and I got the 1 meat lunch plates, one brisket and one sausage. Both were very good. They were juicy too. The only down side I saw was the amount of sauce they give you in the containers. We ate in their new dining hall, which was extremely pleasant. I would stop here again the next time I am passing through the area from Houston.

The brisket was so good and those beans. The staff was so friendly and very nice to tell me I could get a childs/senior plate. We liked sitting in the pit area. The shopping next door at Rhinestone Angel made this stop on the way to San Antonio even better. Definitely adding this to our list of favorites.
After a long day visiting Bastrop and Smithville we drove through to Flatonia, and since we were starved decided to stop for some dinner. Over all the food was good, the lady taking the order was not very friendly. The only real problem was that there were quite a few fly's which was a little unpleasant. Food tasted very good though.
