I used to eat there regularly back in the 1980s, when I was making frequent commutes between Houston and San Antonio. Everything was quite outstanding then, and now that I'm back in TX a few years later, I note that you all are still in business. You all are obviously doing something right!
Hadnt been there in bout 5 years brisket was cold and dry i can wait another 5
Chicken was dry brisket was dry the ribs were decent had a nice taste and the beans tasted like they were out of a can potato salad was decent. Overall the drinks also tasted water down. After spending about $40 at this place I asked if they could put some water and ice in my cup and they were going to charge me for ice. No thank you I went across the street and got me a cup of free ice and water. Never stop in there again.
stopped here driving from shiner. the food was decent but as I was driving I was drinking my sweet tea. 2 hours later, I take the lid off my cup only to find a big fingernail sized STAPLE in my tea. if I weren't using a straw I would've had it stuck in my throat. won't be coming back here.
Good sliced beef sandwich. I Texas sized, which was worth the cost - but the Texas bread fell apart while eating. I definitely recommend over McDonalds!
Workers very nice, but food was not good at all and drinks watered down. I had ribs which was over cooked, potato salad that has way to much mustard in it, baked bans taste like they came straight out can with a nasty flavor . Prices were very high for what you get too. McDonalds would have been better and I don't even like McDonalds,
Not worth the amount you pay for the food. Ribs hard little meat. Drinks watered down it just wasn't worth 30.00
