Got served more with attitude more tart than the pickled eggs. Food was spot on, service severely lacking and not welcoming at all. My food was untactfully deposited on counter, pickled eggs and pretzels served without tray(unlike rest of patrons)...and the cherry on top was my change; returned with such reluctance you'd thought I was contagious. It is really disappointing to have such an experience from such a revered establishment.
The ONLY Bar/Pub we go to in California. While we don't go out drinking very often, we do bring our out of state visitors there when they are in town. GREAT Place... Beer, Specials, Pickled Eggs, peppers and Peanuts... Just wish we could get over there more often. Dan. AKA TheGunny. W6LPK
It was super crowed but it was for a good cause with 50% of sales going to the Salvation Army. The Polish Sausage Sandwich was AMAZING! I even had my first pickled egg.
A Long Beach classic. I'll take a schooner and a double special anytime!
