One of my favorite spots in Macon and owned by some of the best people you could ever know. The food is fresh and delicious- you might think you can make a turkey sandwich at home, but for some reason, it’s way better at Joe D’s. The soup is always spot on. And the way he smokes his brisket? Oh me oh my. Pretty sure it could win a contest in Texas.
Had a chance to chat with the owners today and try their brisket. Being a Texas boy, I’ve been dying for some decent brisket in Macon other than my own and I finally found it! Perfect bark, tender, and no sauce needed!
