If you need a Whipple procedure for pancreatic cancer, look no further than Dr. Cates. His technical skill and experience in this extremely difficult surgery is outstanding. He's exactly what you need in a surgeon: confident, determined and experienced. I'm alive today because he removed all the Stage IIIB pancreatic cancer from me and successfully re-plumbed my innards to function. It's a long, slow, grueling recovery but know you're in good hands with Dr. Cates. 10/10 would choose him again!
Dr Cates is an excellent Dr. He is very understanding of your situation and informs you as what is needed to be done in order to correct your issue. I have had WHIPPLE surgery in 2006 and a fistula in 2017. I would reccomend Dr Cates to anyone needing the type of surgeries that he performs.
Dr. Cates explained everything and made me feel at ease. He is very personable and seems to care about his patients.
