Most definitely, very pleased. Dr. Cates takes the time to talk with you and wants to make sure you don’t have any questions. He explains everything so that I can understand it..
I donated my kidney to my husband. Dr. Cates did my part of the surgery, the kidney removal. I cannot say enough good things about him, his team, the transplant coordination and the aftercare. I wish I could give him more stars. He is a very skilled surgeon with a kind and patient bedside manner who is both reassuring and forthcoming with information. His aftercare team was in to see me every day and readily available for questions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cates for 3 years, could not have found a better surgeon. He has done a major surgery on me in 2014 and followed my care since. He is very easy to talk with, he makes sure that you understand everything before you leave his office. He will be doing another surgery on me soon and I know he will do everything possible to help me. He is a doctor who always has another plan ready if the first will not work.! Not just a great surgeon but a great person who cares.
