Dr Cates expksined the results of my scan with knowledge and care. He gave options for my condition. He took the wait and see option and did not just recommend surgery to fix the issue. I appreciated this but also gave me suggestions to watch for complications.
I would highly recommend Dr. Joe Cates to anyone and found him to be, along with his team, highly skilled,knowledgeable,organized,professional,thorough and kind. Kansas City is very fortunate to have Dr. Cates . My surgery went very well and without a glitch.
Dr. Cates is the very best there is. His entire staff is very caring and kind. I always treated very well and feel welcome and comfortable. I have no complaints at all during any time I come into this office.

Two major surgeries on leg arteries by Dr. Cates. He worked for 5 hours on one of them, and similar time frame on the other leg 2 months later. Very professional, knowledgeable and kind! I'm grateful that he was my surgeon, which occurred in an emergency situation to save my foot on the first surgery.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Dr. Cates was great and explained things better than the previous doctors st KU Med Center. I highly recommend him and if I do require surgery I hope he does it.
