Took $40 x2 for rental application, and then ghosted me. No call or email as to app status. Refused to return phone calls. Just a money grab by a very unprofessional company.
Probably the most dangerous apartment experience I've ever had, which is why I felt inclined to leave my first bad review on yelp. This property was at 3204 Madison Ave in Normal Heights. 1. We lived there for about two weeks before we discovered a gas leak. SDG&E came out for the gas leak and also found a carbon monoxide leak coming from the oven. NEVER USE JOE GUMMERSON or JOE CARTA REAL ESTATE AGENCY. They bully and take advantage of older, unknowing and vulnerable people! We were bullied and conned by real estate agent, Joe Gummerson of Joe Carta Realty. We never sold a house before and were not knowledgable about the process and about listing agreements. Joe Gummerson took advantage of us! He told us that the contract was a standard listing agreement and that we should sign it on Docusign in the computer. We trusted him and we signed it.
