My elderly mother who has stage 4 cancer is scheduled to have a hip replacement next week. Dr. Hetman would not clear her without an EKG. So my mom went to see her and had the EKG in June. Fast forward to today, and she gets word from her hip surgeon that Dr Hetman was requiring her to see a cardiologist. Of course she did not tell my mom and now she can't get a cardiology apt in time for her surgery. She has been in terrible pain for months and has been waiting for her surgery patiently. Excellent physician. She was very thorough.
I moved back into town after being gone for 10 years & needed a new primary care doctor. Dr. Hetman was very thorough, kind & truly listened to my needs & concerns. She ensured all of my medical history was correct & works to have the whole picture of your health history in your chart. She spent so much time with me, I thanked her for how special that was, knowing she is the MD in the practice. I never felt rushed or unimportant. I am so thankful to have found her!!!!
Dr is not a good communicator with patient family, especially elderly. To mechanical, little compassion. Seems to have a hard time listening. Office missed following up on critical lab values.

Yes, her office runs late but, that is because she spends time w/her patients. She is thoughtful and caring and has her patient's best interest in mind. She is open minded and creative in her treatment plans. I've been seeing her for years, I take my elderly mom to her as well. I like Dr. Hetman and am healthier for knowing her.

Outstanding caring top notch physician. She is the very best! I moved to Louisville from south Florida about a year and a half ago and was really worried about finding a good physician, considering the fact that I have had some major medical issues. Dr. Hetman is a godsend. So happy my niece recommended her to me. I just love Dr Hetman !!!
I have been a patient of hers for years but she just does not have time for her patients. Past few appointments she had been 1-2 hours late. Last time I saw her she was an hour and a half late and saw me fifteen minutes before she closed and rushed me through the appointment. I walked out of her office with the lights already out, she was so late. She is so consistently late that I am going to get a new doctor.
