JJ&K, owned by John and Kim Powell, have done many projects for us over the years, including our kitchen, master bath, and hall bathroom. We had two bathrooms remodeled recently, our master and kids bathroom. We met JJ&K at the Dulles Expo and after some time, decided to contact them for our bathroom remodeling. After a few other estimates, we decided to move forward with JJ&K because their prices were fair and we felt comfortable with the owner, John Powell. I just recently had my basement remodeled with JJ&K Custom remodeling. At first my husband wanted a regular bar, and they sent us pictures and a proposal pretty quickly after my estimate. The guys are very nice, sweet, hard workers. My husband and I were worried at first because it is the first remodeling we've done on our house. I recently hired JJ&K to remodel a bathroom. The owner is very unprofessional and the company has money problems. And, no, I am not a disgruntled ex-employee. My two-week job turned into 2 months and at the end I requested to have something re-done since it obviously did not look right. They ignored my request. The owners never came by to see the finished job and to ask if we were satisfied. I would never recommend them and would never hire them again.

How someone had a great experience with this company is beyond me. How they are in business is an even greater mystery. They are unprofessional, rude, extremely messy, and not skilled in any particular area. They are just your typical handyman who figures things out as they go. Home improvements are a big investment, dont make a mistake that will cost you more down the road. They offer the lowest price for a reason.

We recently used JJ&K Remodeling for an exterior painting project adn were extremly pleased withthe result. They paid close attention to detail and cleaned up completely. I would definitely recommend them and plan on using JJ&K again in the future. Mark
