We were looking at a car today. I had the Carfax pulled up on my phone and the sales woman lied straight to our faces saying the car had only been in one accident, totaled ONCE, and sold at a salvage auction ONCE. I called carfax to double check. The vehicle has been in at least SIX accidents, totaled twice and sold at a salvage auction twice. They have the car priced at that of a vehicle that has NO accidents reported and only 1 owner. They claimed to have taken 20% off fair market value and could not negotiate price. All t... read more
The girl who answered the phone was far more interested in whether they'd be getting off early for the holiday than showing us the car. We were planning to drive up from Cape Cod (translation: motivated buyer) but that didn't impress her. When I tried to contact someone about how unimpressed I was, the same girl wrote back and insisted that this is perfectly fine and the right way to help a customer. They responded within a few hours and were very helpful in providing vital information about the car. We are still looking but I appreciated their prompt and friendly response to our inquiry.
