I really enjoyed everything for it being my first time eating in the restaurant.
The decor and service is great. But I think that’s to lull you into a sense of false security because the food is absolutely the most overpriced Chinese I’ve ever had. It’s not bad, as you can eat it, but for the money it’s very disappointing and low quality. Each item has a quality of buffet food that is about to be swapped out for fresher food but hasn’t yet. The most bland greasy overpriced food I’ve ever had, how can you mess up lo mein? Im not even exaggerating. I passed the cool dragon billboard, and it seems they put all the money into the billboard and not into the food. It was lukewarm, sat all day, overpriced buffet food. As if they got it from the freezer warmed it up at 6am and sat it under a food lamp for the rest of the day. Will never come here again. Service was great though!
Jimmy Wan’s in Fox Chapel has become the restaurant I compare every other restaurant to. The food is exceptional, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service always makes you feel like a regular. Grab a seat at the bar, let the bartenders create a custom cocktail, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
