Dr Conway is a fantastic Physician and person. I am a 56 year old recipient of a shoulder replacement by another physician that Dr Conway used his due diligence to correct and replace. I owe him a debt of gratitude on fixing my situation that looked bleak. I am improving daily due the Dr Conway and his staff. 2019 was an awful year for me with pain and lack of mobility Until Dr Conway got involved and corrected my situation. Thank you Dr Conway and staff.
Dr. Conway did a labrum repair on my right shoulder. He told me there was instability on thre front of the shoulder, and tightened it after repairing the back. It was tightened too tight, even the PT couldn't get out to loosen up. After compensating for 13 years, I had destroyed my labrum and rotator cuff, and was left with a full reverse shoulder replacement with another doctor.
Dr. Conway has done two replacment surgeries on both shoulder's. We had some trouble with left shoulder but with time and lots of therapy it came around!Absolutely no trouble with right shoulder. I would not use any body else... He the best hands down.
If you care, at all, about timeliness, this is not the doctor for you! Running a hour or more behind their appointment time is normal and something I experienced on multiple occasions. The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. I regret wasting so much time sitting around waiting in their waiting room.
Dr Conway did an unbelievable job replacing both rotrtor cuff, left 7 years ago and my right 5 years ago, due to bone spurs completely severing the rotator cuff into. He told me that if I did exactly what I was told I woul recover complety. My job requires heavy lifting, 50 to 150 lb. one day a week with a total of 3000 to 4000 lbs on the heavy lifting day. It required 9 months recovery on the left side and 6 months on the left side. I am still working at the age of 69 thanks to Dr Conway.
Dr Conway is wonderful. He actually listens and cares about his patients! I highly recommend him! Beside manner is great too.
At first you think you are in the wrong place talking to a comedian not a first rate orthopedic surgeon. Then you realize that Dr. Jimmy Conway just likes to clown around to relax his patients. The man knows his business and his staff is just as professional as he is. When he tells you to drink the concoction, drink it. It will help you heal. Figure out which one you can tolerate. Dr. Conway is the best orthopedic guy I have dealt with.
Due to my personal experience with this guy my words of advice are: 1. Get a second opinion 2. Get your medical records prior to surgery and read them. 3. See if he has ever been sued for malpractice. Good luck
