love that place When I was 11 years old I came to this place It was beautiful I sit next to a window that had a beautiful view of the beach and also my grandma love there food a lot. she is always wanting to go there for special times.
Jimmies Huge portions, I love the fried shrimp or clam strips. A West Haven institution for years, my folks used to bring me here as a kid for my birthday... I remember thinking I couldn't wait to be a "rich grownup" so I could eat there every day! Also, a nice view as it is right on the beach and you can get a seat by the ocean.
JIMMIES FOREVER I will turn SIXTY tomorrow & Jimmies is still my favorite place to eat. I've been going to Jimmies since I was an infant & eating Lobster Rolls from there almost as long. I have never, ever been disappointed at Jimmies & will once again eat there for my birthday. jimmies fish (sea food resturant) the best in connecticut i recommend the sword fish & cod as well as the tuna steak the shrimp and raw clams but imy self would have my clams cooked. the shampain white or red orange.
Cheap and Rude 10 years ago, Jimmies used to be the best seafood place around. I tried Captians Galley, but Jimmies was better.Everytime I've been since, they've gotten cheaper and cheaper. the bathrooms smell like a dilapidated farm! The fried shrimp are no bigger than the baby shrimp they give you in Chinese take out! The tartar sauce "used" to be the best in the East Coast and now its diluted 2x and reused. Yeah re-used. Jimmies of Savin Rock A MUST stop! We treated our wedding party here. It is set up on the water with a wonderful view! It is a bit pricey, but you get a lot for your money! There is a long wait, however, there are bars to sit in while you wait. It is truly worth the wait.
Loved it! Loved it! Clams were great and they give you so much. Our waitress was so very nice and helpful. We had a great lunch and day at the beach. We can't wait to go back!!
Remember when you thought McDonalds was good? That's what it was like going back to Jimmie's after 20 years. If you like mediocore fried food and lots of fries, with a little dollup of coleslaw on the side, then you'll love it. I felt as if I was in a cafeteria and the view didn't even help. I don't know what the attraction is.
