I recently took my car to the Jiffy Lube in Aspinwall, PA for state inspection. I was told that the car failed inspection due to "rear brake pads below specification". My boyfriend work with an experienced mechanic who helped us change all rear brake shoes and front brake pads. When removing the rear brake shoes we noticed that they seemed to be in superb condition and didn't appear to have any excessive wear (shocking since the inspection report claimed the right rear had only 1/32 of pad remaining). There service is great. I especially love their deal they give were you can pay $8 extra and get all the windows cleaned, inside and out and your car vacuumed spotless. Dang, if I went to a quarter vacuum I would pay at least $5-6 just to vacuum.

I will never go to a Jiffy Lube again, especially this one. I went for an oil change. The next day my car broke down mid acceleration. I was 1.5 hours late for work. According to my mechanic, the coil wire which covers my air filter had detached. The wire couldn't possibly have just fallen off. And we all know Jiffy Lube checks your air filter in the hopes to sell you a new one. So they messed up. They were negligent with their work. Not too pleased...My wife (Julie Borunda) and I went to the Cedar Falls location for a simple oil and filter. We just bought the vehicle (04 Trailblazer) that had plenty of work to do on it that the dealer was going to remedy. We just needed oil and filter because the oil in the engine was old. Terrible experience, takes advantage of females. Store manager jammed my wife for a signature service oil change when she requested the special being run that day "up front", when at the counter checking out, store manager demanded payment for signature oil change. Wife disputed this with him having not requested a signature oil change (not even knowing what that is), and he held her hostage (by not releasing vehicle) and demanding payment with alpha-male tactics and intimidation. I must say at first I was quite pleased with the service, the friendliness and speed of everything. My fiancé, daughter and I have been going here for quite some time and never had any issues. So with that being the case, I was convinced that the problem I had within a week of my oil change and service would be handled appropriately. I was quite mistaken. Absolutely DO NOT GO HERE! Took out oil from the car and didn't replace it!! Blew the engine's turbo because of it. You CAN'T make this stuff up. My fiance took his car in yesterday right after having an emissions test completed. Jiffy Lube takes his car back, starts the process and then the guy at the front desk says, "Oh, yeah, that's going to be $69." Basic oil changes do not cost $69. So the fiance said he wanted his car back. So they did just that but after having already starting the process... they never replaced oil ... read more

Their inability to reassemble my vehicle resulted in a costly trip to the dealership an an entire day lost to a simple oil change. The manager was not willing to take responsibility for the damage, pay for the repairs, or even return the OEM bolts the took off my truck. Borderline criminal negligence.
