It seemed like this store was stepping up its game, but I've noticed a decline. Salads in the deli case are often dried and crusty on top, like they haven't been covered properly. Produce isn't much better. Today I found moldy strawberries and bagged salads being sold for full price on their expiration date. The worst was the bag of tangerines I bought. They were all mushy, and two looked like they had been gnawed by something. Looks like I'll be shopping elsewhere for awhile.
Floral Department in the Jewelsfoodstore at 1151 Roselle Rd in Schaumburg is the best!!! I worked with Laura who guided me thru the process of picking out which flowers would work best for my daughters bridal shower centerpieces. They were simply gorgeous!!! I give them 10 stars!!!!!
Disgusting!! I have been getting the 3 for $12 things of fruit lately. A few weeks ago there was a black hair in the watermelon and I thought it would never happen again. Well today there was a long black hair in the cantaloupe!! Seriously makes me feel sick. Wear hair nets!!!!
Seriously? I usually try to watch the baggers pretty closely as most don't have a clue about not putting crushables at the bottom of the bag. But today my bagger was someone who's been there a long as I can remember so I didn't watch as closely. First she made a face when I presented her with my own reusable bags and then I got home and found my bag of baby spinach at the bottom underneath 3 lbs. of broccoli and Brussels sprouts. I wish they never got rid of the self checkout lane that I used so I could bag my own.
Everytime i go to get lunchmeat there are only a few people working and i wait 15 mins to get waited on. The pharmacy is worse. I wait so long at the drive thru that i think they forgot about me. Today getting groceries at noon i waited 15 mins to check out cause they did not have baggers at each checkout. Jewel is higher priced than any other store. The service should be much faster for that reason alone
I went in last night to get two things, green beans and shaved carrots. Took me 30 seconds to get my items. Go to the checkout, two lanes open and 19 people total waiting. So unhappy that the self checkout is being removed (and you have known for months) yet nothing has been done to provide adequate staffing. Your prices aren't the best, but convenience previously saved you. That is no longer valid and I will be going someplace else moving forward. Sent my brother there yesterday (08/13/16) to purchase some items including a couple jars of Cheez Whiz. When I went to use the items for dinner, I noticed one of the jars had expired 05/31/2016. Gross! He went back to the store to get a refund. He got the money, but not after the lady asked, "how old is the receipt?" Really? She can't read the date on the receipt says 8/13/16?
