I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Cheryl at JetBlack Hair Studio, and I can confidently say it was one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! Stay clear of this place - specifically Cheryl. She butchered my hair earlier this year and I am still traumatized by the effects. She over-processed the front (very delicate) hair and then recommended to cut the "baby hairs" because they will not be noticeable. She proceeded to cut all the hairs that frame my face and has left me with damaged and short 1/2 inch wisps of hair as bangs. It has been 6+ months and my hair still hasn't grown back. A friend talked me into writing this review. I went to see Cheryl a few times. Wasn’t wowed but I wasn’t really sure what I wanted. One day I noticed my part was widening. I mentioned it at my next appt hoping Cheryl would have some suggestions on how to slow hair loss. Maybe fewer products, or less drying? I’m happy to be a client of JetBlack Hair Studio. Toni is a lovely stylist who transformed my dry permed hair into silky manageable waves and my blowout lasted until I shampooed. Toni also has great attention to details such as offering fruity drinks, excellent hair products and even cute pink gloves that she wears for color services.
