I bought my espresso machine here, six years ago. I also have a monthly coffee order. The level of knowledge and expertise of everyone I deal with is outstanding.
Yesterday morning I attended Jetblack’s advanced barista course. It was run by Amber — who happens to be who sold me my Ascaso machine and grinder last year — and she is a great trainer too. We covered dialling in our grinders and fine-tuning by taste, weight and timing. Amber gave us hands-on experience with distribution tools and bottomless portafilters, which I had been curious about. This morning I attended Jet Blacks Advanced Barista Course: professionally facilitated by the effervescent Amber. I suggest you tie a rope around your waist, Poltergeist style, before going in; your going deep down the rabbit hole(s) that is the science of the perfect shot of coffee.
