I enjoy Jersey Mike's subs and I think that a good sandwich is worth a wait. I sadly had to leave for the first time sandwichless, the crime? While waiting to place my order the worker slicing the meat and cheese for a call in order answered a phone on her watch and took the call instead. I can understand having to fix a problem on the phone but I do think it's worth changing gloves after.
They need a better system than the app system where you have a dedicated preparer for app orders, but where walk-ins can just order a sandwich and get it while the app people are still waiting for a sandwich ordered 30 minutes before, especially when the main line preparer has time to just stand around between walk-ins. It's frustrating to be told you will have a sandwich ready at a time certain, wait, show up, and still have to wait longer than the people who show-up after you and go through the line. We walked into an empty store with dirty tables that the manager cleaned when they got busy while we were sitting and eating. She flipped the food debris off the table toward us at the next table. When I asked for sweetener for the unsweetened tea, she talked over the younger man to say they don’t stock any. For a chain that raises money for Special Olympics weekly, the lack of sweetener for unsweetened tea seems counterintuitive. If you like Jersey Mikes choose a different store for better service.
