Originally from a small town North of Philadelphia, I thought owning an East Coast style sandwich shop was a great way to get back to my roots. Despite having lived in the San Francisco bay area for longer than I lived in Pennsylvania, my longing for good Cheesesteaks and Hoagies never seemed to fade. True Philly Coming from Philadelphia, I could never find either a real cheesesteak or a "zep" (salami hoagie). This is the only place I've found in 35 years out here that was exactly like home. Maybe the owner coming from Philly area helped.
The best Cheese Steak sandwiches in California. A lot of my coworkers are from the east coast and they say this is as close as you can get to a Philadelphia Cheese Steak out here on the West Coast. Service is a little slow, due to the shear number of people that go there for lunch, but well worth the wait. Casual atmosphere, sports on all the flat panal TVs, and ample sauces for a wide range of flavors. I never know what to order when I go because everything is so great tasting and filling. You'll find me there every Friday!
jersey joes i loveee eating here. luckily, i've had the chance to really eat a philly cheesesteak in philly and i can tell you that this place is pretty authentic. and they sure don't get skimpy on the meat or the mushrooms...YUMMY!
Classic Philly Cheese Steaks The Philly Cheese Steaks at Jersey Joes are awesome! the portions are huge & the bread warm & soft. SO GOOD! my tummy never complains. The appetizers are good too, try the fried mushrooms & fried zucchini.
Great place The food is consistently good at this place. It's always crowed at lunchtime during the week so try to get there a little early when possible. The burgers are huge and the cheesesteaks are excellent.
Best Cheesesteaks on either coast & a line of taps to boot! – I'm from the east coast and never had one this good. Great place. GIGANTIC fresh cheesesteaks and it's always full at lunchtime. This is one of my new regular spots now. To top it off they've got a nice selection of beers on tap and even more in bottles.
Piping hot good! Jersey Joe's...I heard all this commotion about how great this place is. I jumped on the bandwagon with fellow coworkers and can say that I am impressed. The Philly cheese steak comes out piping hot and tasty. I did burn my lip on that first initial bite...user error! Definitely a great spot for lunch but I do recommend going early to avoid the long line of hungry civilians!
As good as advertised... Went here based on all the rave reviews posted here, and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the Cheesesteak with onions, mushrooms and peppers, and after watching them take the fresh raw beef and cook it up on the grill, proceeded to chow down. The sandwich comes piping hot and juicy, with melted cheese seemingly inside the ingredients, not just on top. Very filling, and very good. cheesesteak heaven cheesteak on earth has its downsides, mostly related to the aftermath of this treat working on your stomach lining. however, if i was in heaven i could see myself eating jersey joes cheesesteak on a daily basis. despite a large smattering of delicious provolone cheese, the sandwich feels crunchy in a chewy sort of way. although purists would not put the two together, i thought the fries were amazing.
