Love the actual care here for my veteran father. But they need major process improvements with their communications. The scheduling and phone system will send you into circles and appointments have been randomly canceled without notification. Selections in phone system doesn't have all speciality departments listed. The last two years have been the worst so Im not sure what changed but it's not just frustrating, it's become health jeopardizing too. Please hire an efficient group to evaluate and fix the broken system.

I have been using VAs across the nation since 1979. From the very beginning to now, the quality of care has changed so much for the good of veterans. I have had nothing but first class care in almost ALL VA hospitals and clinics. I sorely wish all humans had the care I have been given over the past 50 yrs. Anyone who says otherwise, just had a bad day!!!!???

I cannot say enough about the EXCELLENT care this place provides. I'm amazed by the level of knowledge, practice, & genuine care they give. My husband is ALWAYS thanked for his years of service & gets prompt attention when he needs it - FAR better than I get in the private sector! I'm so thankful for all the incredible caregivers at this facility.

Terrible service. Has deteriorated badly in last 10 years. Worse and worse. Had appt with vascular surgery at 11. Got here early. Once in room, bp taken and chux placed under his legs and shoes and socks were removed. We then sat there til 1240, my husband becoming more agitated, had to use bathroom, nothing close. On 6/2/25, my husband had the phone on speaker (as he always does) when the scheduler required him to bring a driver to his hip injection appointment scheduled for 6/25/25 at 10:45am in the X-ray Department on the 3rd Floor of Jerry Pettis Hospital. Upon attempting to check-in at Window 1 in the X-ray Department, the Representative told us his appointment wasn't there and sent us down the hallway to the Short Stay Unit.
