I like Dr. Best but will no longer be using his services. His front office staff is rude. I took 3 days and voice mails to set an appointment. I finally was able to get a person on the phone on day 3. I stated I was an existing patient and was asked if I had ever seen Dr. Best before??? Really? After some additional rudeness from the person in his office, I asked her name and she declined to share it and hung up

I have been his patient for several years, He is a caring and thorough physician and I know since I am a physician. I recently had a severe medical issue and he went out of his way to get me a specialist appointment.

I felt processed and dismissed. He looks at his laptop pc more than he looks at you. You wait ages then you’re out in 2 minutes. Very impersonal, very disinterested. That’s IF you get to see him at all. Usually he’s booked solid. Actually that’s a blessing because then you get the lovely Nurse Practitioner who is very good - everything you’d want in a Doc. But Best himself is far from best. I try to avoid going to see him now, obviously not a good sign.

Dr. Best was my pcp, when I lived in Indiana and I can’t say enough. He was skilled, knowledgeable, kind and courteous. He listened carefully, thoroughly evaluating and discussing symptoms and testing. Most M.D.’s clearly convey irritation when questions are asked, but not Dr. Best. He patiently addressed any questions, never giving the impression that my health information was none of my concern, or that I had no right to ask. Absolutely the best. Never had a doctor with such dedication to his patients as Dr. Best. He is also a true gentleman, courteous and sensitive to the needs of the patient. He also runs a very organized office with employees that are knowledgeable and go beyond to help you. I am very lucky to have Dr. Best as my primary physician.

I’ve seen this doctor but always was accompanied by my ex-husband, during every visit he would ask my ex about how I was doing and all the questions about my health instead of asking me. I interrupted my visits for a long time due to insurance issues and forgot all about his mistreatment so when it was time for me to set up a physician I mentioned his name because it was the only Doctor I ever saw here in Florida. We saw him for a year and he was fine while we were both fairly healthy. As soon as my husband started having problems, he didn’t seem to know how to handle it - so he just refused to make an appointment to see him for days on end, even though I stressed how he needed to be seen. I finally took him to ER where other doctors took care of him and gave him the needed treatment. Now he is back to good health again. Will NEVER go back to him!

Doesn’t even deserve one star. Horrendous communication skills. Rude. Insolent. Disdainful. Unhelpful. His lack of communication skills severely limits his ability to answer questions. Far exceeds just a lack of bedside manner. Go to anyone else for thorough treatment.
