Clean space. Clean foods for the health conscious. Good music good vibes all around. Perfect spot to enjoy a not-so cheat meal.
The food was not fresh. Food was not piping hot. Rice was hard. The chicken and bbq sauce was tasty but it was also obvious it tasted like it was cooked the day before. The coleslaw was not tasty. The person at the front even asked if it was my first time, which it was. So would you not want to make a first impression? If I ever go back I’d just go for the chicken alone..
I ordered the BBQ chicken with rice and peas, but it was basically jerk chicken covered in BBQ sauce. I was expecting it to be mild, which is why I ordered it for my daughter since she doesn’t tolerate spicy food very well. Unfortunately, it ended up being spicier than expected. The rice and peas were also on the harder side. I do appreciate that the chicken is raised without antibiotics, which is definitely a plus, but overall the food was ok.
Coming here on a rainy Saturday afternoon has been spot on! What I liked about my first visit here is that the food I had (curry goat meal + Jamaican pineapple soda) brought to me such comfort to my heart and tummy. Hope to visit again soon, can’t believe I’ve been living in the area +3 years and just got to pass by Thank you,
