This dentist has taught me more about my health than many other doctors I have worked with over the years. Highly recommend. If you are an introvert or shy like me, just be prepared for him being very talkative (but not in a bad way, he just tries to take the time to explain and listen to you which is not normal for most experienced doctors and dentists to me). Dr. Abbott is quite simply exceptional. Among several specialists, he is head and shoulders above. While he is a carful and astute clinician, he is also humble, there is no grandiosity. He practices within the area of competence and refers to trusted colleagues when necessary. He is flexible. He listens. You will not feel "sold to." He is science-grounded, data-driven. He doesn't tell you anecdotal things, does not catastrophize. Highly recommend.

Physicians are busy people and too often talk to their patients holding a sand timer, so to speak. Not so with Dr. Abbott. Perfectly willing to respond to all my questions with no clock ticking. Clear explanations, personal touch, and a sense of credible professionalism. And after spending all that time with him, he sent me to another treatment, more suitable for my case, prioritizing medical judgment over personal interests.
Dr Abbott is extremely thorough, answers every question patiently, and really cares about his patients. I've been with many dentists over the years, and he deserves the highest rating.
