RecommendedI hadn't been to an eye doctor in over a decade...probably closer to two. I was extremely nervous. My family and friends had me convinced my eyes were terrible and there was absolutely no doubt I'd need glasses. The assistants that did the initial tests were so nice and informative. I had my eye exam a month and 4days ago. That was wonderful! I ordered glasses through them and a pair off of zenni optical. The zenni pair came in less then 2 weeks. I have still not gotten my glasses from JEA. I’ve called and asked about it... it’s been 2 weeks since then. Lame!
Dr Lamers worked tirelessly to find a perfect fit for my sight situation. I had given up and he went through every option to find out how to make my sight as close to perfect as possible. He is very kind, patient, and explains things in a way that makes sense w/o "Dr speak". Highly recommend him and both office locations. The staff is welcoming and go over and beyond.
Great service and awesome team. Dustin is amazing! He prepped us for the Optometrist and he was personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. My wife and I came in with the goal of one of us "winning" the eye competition. Whomever left with the smallest lens change wins. Dustin kept the game going and even helped keep score of our challenge. Again great friendly experience starting with Dustin. (I won Dustin!)
They treat me with the same professional service as anybody else and I am family. They are very very good at what they do!

Dr Lamers is AMAZING!! He has cared for me and my family since 2006. I will never go to another eye doctor because he is knowledgeable and most importantly he cares about his patients.
A couple of weeks before my appointment with Johanna Jensen, I had a case of pinkeye. My doctor sent me to another ophthalmologist when my eyes did not clear up as they should have. After following the ophthalmologist’s treatment, I was released from care. The very next day I was having similar symptoms again. Two days after seeing the other ophthalmologist, I had my first appointment with Johanna. It was for a routine check up. Perfect timing!
